Young Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Intersex Youth Studies and Solidarity Association (short name Young LGBTI+ Association) was established in İzmir in 2016 with the aim of researching the problems of LGBTI+ youth, bringing these problems to the agenda, offering solutions and opening spaces for LGBTI+ youth to express themselves.

Works for the right to access basic needs such as shelter, education and health, youth rights, sexual rights, social activities, rights advocacy, fight against hate crimes and peer support define the basic field of activity of the association.

Although LGBTI+ Youth constitute the primary working area of ​​the association, issues related to the LGBTI+ movement are also included in its working area, and people of all age groups can take part in the activities of the association and benefit from the services of the association.

Society; It is against many types of discrimination such as homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, xenophobia, heterosexism, sexism, racism, and aims to combat all forms of discrimination. It is against militarism, patriarchy, and all means of oppression and domination.

The association accepts the age range of 18-35 as the definition of youth, but people outside this age range can become a member of the association, participate in the activities of the association, and benefit from the services of the association. They just can’t be on the board of directors. The primary focus group of the association is LGBTI+ youth.

The young LGBTI+ association is vegetarian. It declares and undertakes that the meals served in the events it organizes will not contain meat products and that it will not cooperate with companies producing meat products, such as organizing joint events or sponsorship agreements.

It does not take part in any political thought, party or group, but can organize joint events. He has a political stance in life.

The association does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious belief, philosophical opinion, health status, age or status of people who will come into contact with the association, such as its members, volunteers, event participants, and displays an egalitarian approach to everyone.
